Is Your Refrigerator Running?

One of the most common problems requiring service for a fridge in El Paso, TX  is the fan that moves cool air from the separate freezer compartment to the refrigerator cabinet.  Older single door refrigerators did not use these fans and simply allowed gravity to move the cold air from the freezer to the rest of the refrigerator.  However, the double door refrigerator requires the fan.  If the freezer is cold, but the refrigerator is not, the fan is suspect.

Calling for repair can save the consumer hundreds of dollars over the cost of replacing the fridge.  In addition, repairing appliances instead of discarding them is a great way to protect the environment and natural resources.

In the home, a refrigerator with an icemaker is a very convenient thing. Unfortunately, there will be times when the various elements cease to work. In these instances, there are some basic troubleshooting tips that can be attempted before looking into ice maker repair.

Depending on the specific problem, there may be a number of different issues with the maker. For example, if there seems to be water leaking from the tray, this is not being caused by an over filled tray. When this occurs, it usually means that the tray itself needs to be replaced.

Another common problem is when ice gets blocked and is not able to be dispensed. When this happens, one simply needs to pull out the tray reservoir and remove any blocked pieces. Many times, if the maker is not used on a regular basis pieces of ice can form into one large mass. Once these are removed, smaller pieces will be able to flow through the mechanism.

If there is ever any doubt about how to replace damaged or worn out parts, it is always best to seek the assistance from a professional appliance repair company.
